This privacy policy explains how DSCPLN B.V. ("DSCPLN", "we", "us") processes your personal data when you visit our store dscpln.nl, place an order, create an account, sign up for our newsletter, or contact us in any other way. We are the data controller for this processing.

What data we process

Depending on how you use our store, we process:

• Contact and order details: name, billing and delivery address, email address, phone number and the contents of your order.
• Payment details: the payment method chosen and confirmation of your payment. Your full card or account details are processed by our payment providers; we do not store them ourselves.
• Account details: if you create an account, your login details, preferences and order history.
• Communication: the messages you send us, for example by email or through the contact form.
• Technical data: IP address, device and browser data, and data about your visit to the website, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

Purposes and legal bases

We process your data only for the following purposes, each on a legal basis under the GDPR:

• Fulfilling your order — processing your order and payment, delivery, returns and customer service. Basis: performance of the contract.
• Managing your account — creating and maintaining your account. Basis: performance of the contract.
• Legal obligations — retaining order and invoice data for our records. Basis: legal obligation.
• Newsletter and marketing — sending our newsletter with offers and updates. Basis: your consent, or our legitimate interest where you are already a customer. You can unsubscribe from every newsletter using the link at the bottom of the email.
• Improving and securing the store — analysing how the website is used, preventing fraud and misuse, and securing our services. Basis: our legitimate interest.
• Cookies for analytics and advertising — see the Cookies section below. Basis: your consent.

Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses cookies. Necessary cookies make the store work, such as your cart and logging in; these are always placed. Cookies for preferences, analytics and marketing are only placed after you have given consent through the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings on the website.

For analytics and advertising we use Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads). This lets us measure how the website is used, show adverts and measure their effect. Who we share data with

We never sell your data. We only share data with parties that help us deliver our services:

• Shopify — our store platform, for hosting, payment processing and sending email (Shopify Email).
• Payment providers — to handle your payment securely.
• Delivery services — the carrier that delivers your order.
• Google — for analytics and advertising, as described above.

We may also share data where we are legally required to, or in the context of a business transfer.

Transfers outside the EEA

Some of our service providers, including Shopify and Google, may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep data

• Order and invoice data: 7 years, because of the statutory tax retention obligation.
• Account data: for as long as you have an account. If you close your account we delete or anonymise your data, except data we are legally required to keep.
• Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe from the newsletter.
• Customer service correspondence: up to 2 years after your query has been handled.
• Cookie data: in line with the retention periods stated in the cookie banner.

Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised use. No transmission or storage of data is completely secure; if something does go wrong, we act in accordance with our legal obligations.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• access your data;
• have incorrect data corrected;
• have your data deleted;
• have processing restricted;
• object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• withdraw consent you have given — this does not affect processing that took place beforehand.

Complaints

Children's data

Our store is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 16. Are you a parent or guardian and do you think your child has given us data? Contact us and we will delete it.

We may adjust this privacy policy from time to time. The most recent version is always on this page, with the date of the last change at the top.
